Board of Directors

Mark G. Carter - President

Mark is an Architect, having worked in the profession since 1981 and in private practice since 1993. He has organized and led teams to Mexico & Central America to undertake various types of construction work for many years. Neighbors First is born of the desire to extend God's hand of compassion by designing and building for peoples' basic needs.

Nate Hasty - Secretary

Nate is a graduate of Lancaster Bible College, with a degree in Bible and Youth Ministry, and currently serves as a full time youth pastor. Nate has worked with short-term mission efforts in Mexico and Ecuador as well as being part of relief work in Mississippi.

Patrick Ballard - Treasurer

Patrick is the owner of a full service general contracting business, having worked in the construction field since 1988 and as a business owner since 1998. Patrick has been involved with short-term mission efforts in Guatemala, Swaziland, and locally. He is also on the governing board of an area youth camp.

Rick Duncan - Director

Rick has been a Funeral Director for over 30 years. His desire to share Christ's love by meeting the physical needs of people suffering from poverty has led him on mission trips to Mexico, Guatemala, and Africa.

Todd Winslow - Director

Todd grew up on a small dairy and potato farm and graduated from the University of Maine with an Animal Science degree. He managed a dairy production facility for several years and is currently a certified crop advisor for farmers growing cereal grain, broccoli, and potatoes in Northern Maine. Todd has worked with a mission construction team in Guatemala.

Dave Whitaker - Director

Dave has worked in the produce business for 28 years and is currently Vice-President of Maine Farmers Exchange. He has been on short-term mission trips to Guatemala and has been involved in local relief and ministry work. Dave's desire is to help those in need wherever they might be.
