Buenos Aires Bridge

Buenos Aires Bridge

It rains a lot in Guatemala.at least in the rainy seasons. When it does, the people in the village of Buenos Aires are cut off by a flooding river. Vehicle access is impossible and walking over a treacherous log foot-bridge was the only way in and out. With the help of many Guatemalan volunteers and skilled workmen, NFI has completed a substantial new bridge to serve the 150 people who cross the stream daily. The new bridge has concrete abutments, a concrete deck, and utilized a salvaged heavy truck frame to support the span.
